Our Federation

The Bluebell Federation was formed in 2019 when the governing bodies of Fletching Church of England Primary School and Chailey St Peter’s Church of England Primary School voted to federate, following a successful period of partnership working under one Executive Headteacher.

The Federation was established with a shared commitment to improving opportunities and outcomes for children through collaboration, shared expertise and best practice.

In September 2023, we were delighted to welcome Forest Row Church of England Primary School into the Bluebell Federation, bringing together three schools with a shared ambition to provide the very best opportunities for their pupils, staff and communities.

In September 2026, the Bluebell Federation grew once again as Little Horsted Church of England Primary School and Wivelsfield Primary School joined us, bringing our family of schools to five.

This is an exciting new chapter for the Bluebell Federation. While each of our five schools has its own unique identity, character and community, being part of the Federation gives us valuable opportunities to work together, share expertise and learn from one another.

As our Federation has grown and evolved, we are also taking the opportunity to review and refresh our shared vision and values so that they truly reflect the new make-up of our five-school Federation, who we are today and our aspirations for the future.

At the heart of the Bluebell Federation is a commitment to ensuring that every one of our schools can flourish. By working collaboratively and maintaining high expectations, we aim to provide happy, nurturing and inspiring environments where our children can thrive and our staff feel supported and valued.
